Warranty Conditions.

We offer a standard 1 Year Parts and Labour warranty on all JVC Consumer products including:

 
  • Video Cameras and Multi Media Products; 
  • Waterproof Housing 
  • Display Unit (including Television, Rear Projector, Plasma & LCD)
  • HI FI Equipment (including packaged HI FI systems, HI FI components such as amplifiers, receivers, tuners, cassette decks, speakers, compact disc players and mini disc recorders) 
  • DVD (Playback + Recording) 
  • Projectors (exclude Lamps and Filters) 
  • Mobile Entertainment (includes audio and visual products intended for mobile installations such as cars and boats) 
  • Video Recording Equipment (Digital Recording), includes DVD R and Hard Drive Combinations 
  • Video Recording Equipment (Analogue Recording), includes VHS or VHS combinations “DVD R & VHS” 
  • Portable Audio, Includes all audio products that can be used with batteries 
  • STB - Set Top Box 
  • Professional Product

Hagemeyer Brands Australia PTY LTD (hereinafter called Hagemeyer), as the exclusive distributor of JVC Consumer Electronics, undertake to carry out any necessary repair on a consumer product without charge for parts or labour during the period specified herein commencing from the date of purchase. 

Such Repairs will be carried out within normal business hours (Monday – Friday). The warranties conferred by Hagemeyer are in addition to all other rights available to the consumer under any applicable statute.

Statement of Warranty Conditions
1. The warranty only applies to consumer products, designed and manufactured primarily for home entertainment use, and is valid for JVC products imported and distributed by Hagemeyer, and purchased in Australia and New Zealand from a dealer authorized by Hagemeyer to sell the JVC product, provided that the product:- 

 
  • Has been used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions contained in the operation manual.
  • Has not been damaged by an accident or subjected to misuse, neglect, abuse or infestation by insects or vermin.
  • Has not been damaged due to quality of power supply or voltage
  • Has not been tampered with or repaired by anyone other than an authorised Hagemeyer service centre in Australia or New Zealand. 
  • Is taken or sent for service to an authorised Hagemeyer service centre in Australia or New Zealand. 
  • When presented for service is accompanied with the applicable purchase receipt.
  • When service inspection reveals the unit is in good order and working condition and the alleged fault is caused by incorrect operation of user controls, reception problems resulting from an inadequate antenna system, outside interference or mains supply problems, flat batteries, use of poor quality or damaged magnetic tapes, the owner shall be liable for the minimum service fee charged by the Hagemeyer authorised service centre.

2. Component that is subject to wear and tear, which are not faulty from manufacture, but must be replaced for optimum performance, shall be replaced at the expense of the owner for parts and labour.

3. If the unit is used in commercial, business, industrial, educational, duplication, rental or similar applications the warranty period shall be 12 months parts & 3 months labour.

4. If a unit is sent to a Hagemeyer authorised service centre for repair under warranty, the owner is responsible for transportation & insurance costs to and from the service centre

5. The owner is responsible for arranging removal from and reinstallation into the vehicle of all Mobile Entertainment equipment (Car Sound), so it can be sent or taken to a Hagemeyer authorised service centre for repair under warranty.

6. Subject to any warranties implied by statute at no time will Hagemeyer or its agents are liable for any economic loss consequent upon the failure of the product.

7. Recordable media, connecting cords, loose accessories, batteries, carrying case and straps, cabinet parts are not covered for any manufacturing defects which have been specifically drawn to the customer’s attention before purchase and where the customer has examined the goods before purchase, where those defects ought to have been revealed to the Customer upon examination.

8. CRT Televisions from screen sizes 25" (59cm) and over, together with plasma/LCD panels of 37" and above, are covered for in-house service within in the metropolitan area of all capital cities or 15km of the nearest JVC Authorised Service Centre. Smaller screen sizes must be returned to the nearest authorised service centre for repairs under warranty.

9. LCD and Plasma panels may exhibit some bright, dark or partially lit pixels, which is a normal and acceptable limitation of this technology and the manufacturing processes involved. Defective pixels is not a warranty issue unless they exceed the manufacturers specifications of pixel defects, refer Instruction manual. 

10. Image retention or burn-in can be an issue for all phosphorbased displays. In extreme cases, permanent phosphor burn can occur if still/ repetitive images are left on the screen for extended periods of time. Such damage to the screen is not warranty.

11. This product is sold to the retailer and neither the retailer nor any other person has authority to give any warranty or guarantees on Hagemeyer behalf either written or verbal.

12. Subject to any warranties implied by statute, Hagemeyer reserves the right to replace the product with the same or equivalent product rather than have the product repaired. Where a replacement is provided the original product, along with it’s accessories becomes the property of Hagemeyer and the warranty will remain from the original purchase date. Hagemeyer warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

SPECIAL NOTES - SHOULD THE SERIAL NUMBER BE DELETED, ALTERED OR TAMPERED WITH, CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE TO DETERMINE IF DEEMED VOID.THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO THE ORIGINAL (RETAIL) PURCHASER ONLY AND IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.
