SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – 30th SEPTEMBER 2009 - JVC today announced the new PICSIO GC-FM1, the company’s first entry in the fast-growing pocket cam market. This pocket-sized camera is specifically designed for those who want to enjoy the carefree shooting and easy sharing capabilities of an ultra-stylish pocket camera without sacrificing high picture quality.
The PICSIO GC- FM1 has been designed for usability within situations when time is of the essence. There are no lengthy menus to scroll through so users will master its functions without having to study the instruction manual. Controls are up-front and self-explanatory, allowing people who are not technically savvy the opportunity to operate a high-quality camcorder.
Show off your videos to friends with the upmost of ease with the PICSIO GC-FM1. Memories ranging from special events to daily activities are captured into a common high-definition video format which allows it to be uploaded directly to social networks such as Facebook, YouTube and iTunes.
People expect higher picture quality from a video camera specialist such as JVC, and the PICSIO GC-FM1 does not disappoint. Using an 8 Megapixel CMOS image sensor to capture JPEG stills, PICSIO delivers excellent results when printed out or viewed on-screen. Switch to Video mode, and PICSIO will record 1080P HD video that you can enjoy watching on a HDTV.
Specifically, PICSIO shoots 8 Megapixel native resolution stills without interpolation, and records 1080P HD video for remarkable results even when viewed on a HDTV. Viewing is made simple thanks to HDMI™ connection. Since PICSIO is equipped with HDMI™, watching HD video pictures on a HDTV is as easy as connecting a single cable.
Unique among pocket cams, the PICSIO is equipped with an image stabiliser to enable shooting of images with minimal camera-shake.
The unit charges via USB connection, so it automatically charges up whenever you connect it to transfer your videos and images to a PC. USB Cable, AV Cable, Hand Strap and PC Software are provided with the unit.
