In 16:9 video mode Everio uses 774,180 effective pixels for each RGB colour for full resolution 2.3 Megapixel imaging. Thanks to the broader dynamic range, you can enjoy videos with truly realistic colours and digital stills up to 2560 x 1920 pixels for beautiful A4 prints. JVC optics using three-dimension angle mounting technology assures high precision prism/CCD registration with extreme accuracy on the order of one micron.

JVC's 3CCD system shifts the Green pixel locations diagonally by 1/2 pixel, enabling it to gather image data from twice as many pixel locations vertically and horizontally.

The GZ-MG505 is equipped with three 1.33 million pixel 1/4.5" CCDs with a total of 2.3 million effective pixels for 16:9 aspect ratio moving pictures. This allows full resolution 16:9 widescreen, 1173x660-pixel imaging with picture stabilisation.
